Apothecary

An Apothecary is an ever-evolving entity. Treasures collected from travel, gifts from friends and family, books filled with passed-down wisdom, ritual, recipes, practices. It is important to use your Apothecary. To renew the jars filled with plant matter. To look at the jars and choose what to keep and what to empty or replenish.

Whether you have actual shelves filled with magical items or not, we all have an Apothecary. We have tools, we have knowledge, we have magic deep inside of us. We need to renew our minds. Questioning deep-held beliefs and adding new supportive thoughts.

Journaling Opportunities:

- What sits on your apothecary shelves? In your mind or your reality?

- What magic do you want to create? You have what you need. Take stock.

- What books can support your creation?

- What recipes have you been wanting to experiment with or revise?

- Maybe it is time to build a physical apothecary? What are your "must-haves"?

-Is there anything in your physical or your mental apothecary that is old or out dated? How will you get rid of it, and what can you replace it with that would feel like a better fit?

Have fun. Dig into all the many magical elements you have at your disposal.

Choose a space where you would be happy sorting things. Gather magical ingredients from around your home, things that have not yet found their solid place. Sort through them, using all of your senses. Touch the papers, smell the pages of the books, open the jars, listen to the sound it makes. Hold the crystals up in the light. If there are edible items tast them. Smile and enjoy the examination. Consider what each item can be used for and ask it where it would like to be placed. Don't feel like you have to do it all right now. Building your apothecary is a lifelong process.

Enjoy.
